Richard Harris

Mr. Harris serves as Partner and Head of EMEA of G Squared, a global venture capital firm that partners with dynamic companies throughout their life cycles as a complete capital solutions provider. He joined the firm in 2015 and leads G Squared’s Europe-based team. G Squared partners directly with portfolio company management teams and offers a full suite of liquidity services, invests in primaries and direct secondaries, and leads and structures employee tenders.

Prior to joining G Squared, Richard worked as Managing Director at Maren Group LLC. In this role, he researched and evaluated investments in targeted industries in need of bank assistance with debt financing and equity. He hired and developed a 10-person team and operations needed to advise companies that were expanding across national borders. He spearheaded 20+ cross-border mandates, producing $1B in transactional volume. Mr. Harris also held positions at both Mont Pelerin Capital, where he launched and served as principal of a $2800M hedge fund, and Gleacher Partners. In these positions, he was fortunate to work with two titans, Chuck Martin and Eric Gleacher, in the domains of investment management and hedge funds. Both of these men were his mentors and exerted a significant impact on his career. Mr. Harris holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in finance and political science from Southern Methodist University.
