Rod James is PitchBook’s senior editor of US private equity, based in New York. Before joining PitchBook in 2025, he was a reporter at The Wall Street Journal, covering private equity and private credit. Prior to that, he spent five and a half years with PEI Group, first in London and later in New York, leading coverage of the North American PE market.
