Carsten Dirks, born 1969, has served since January 2026 as Innovation Manager and COO at SPRIND, the Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation in Leipzig, where he oversees artificial intelligence, robotics, digital sovereignty and aviation. He previously held COO positions at Aleph Alpha, powercloud, Open-Xchange and Interactive Data. Dirks began his career at SAP in Walldorf and Boston and later led the Managed Solutions division of Interactive Data as CEO. He studied business administration in Frankfurt and USA.
