Profile

With over 25 years of experience spanning energy, agriculture, climate and transition finance, Pierre Abadie is a recognised leader in deploying capital to accelerate the shift toward a low-carbon, resilient and sovereign economy.

As Managing Director and a member of Tikehau Capital’s Private Equity Executive Committee, Pierre has led the development and expansion of the firm’s €6.5 billion private equity platform. Today, he oversees a platform structured across four strategic verticals – decarbonisation, regenerative agriculture, aerospace & defence, and cybersecurity. Supported by a team of over 60 investment professionals operating across seven countries, the platform is focused on sovereignty, resilience, and climate adaptation across critical value chains, including energy, agriculture, digital and transition finance.

As Co-Head of Tikehau Capital’s Private Equity Decarbonisation Strategy—established in 2018—he has jointly overseen the management of €3.5 billion across the first and second generation of Tikehau Capital’s flagship Private Equity Decarbonisation Strategy, launched in partnership with TotalEnergies. He has also played a leading role in launching the launch of the Group’s Climate Infrastructure Strategy, and Regenerative Agriculture Strategy, launched in partnership with AXA Climate and Unilever.

In his role as Group Climate Director, Pierre drives Tikehau Capital’s climate strategy across all asset classes. Under his leadership, €9 billion of the firm’s assets are aligned with decarbonisation pathways, including €5 billion fully dedicated to climate and biodiversity strategies. He also serves on several investment and impact committees.

Prior to joining Tikehau Capital in 2018, Pierre spent 16 years at TotalEnergies. He is a graduate of École Centrale, IFP Énergies nouvelles, and Sorbonne University.
