Professor Rosalyn Moran is CEO and Co-Founder of Stanhope AI, a London-based deep tech startup pioneering brain-inspired artificial intelligence.
Rosalyn is a professor of Computational Neuroscience. She was the deputy director of King’s Institute for Artificial Intelligence and deputy head of the Department of Neuroimaging at King’s College London, where her group led the development of the ‘Free Energy Principle’ for application to artificial intelligence, drawing on the groundbreaking work of co-Founder, Professor Karl Friston.
Rosalyn has also held faculty positions in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical & Computer Engineering and Neurobiology at the University of Bristol and Virginia Tech.
After 20 years of research, Rosalyn founded Stanhope AI as a vehicle to apply her findings to real-world situations and contribute towards improvements and innovations in AI adaptability, functionality and efficiency.
