Ali works with portfolio companies to grow their businesses by providing performance execution advice, strategy development assistance and talent acquisition support. He serves on the investment committee of Cento III.

Ali was formerly CEO / COO for 4 and a half years at ZALORA Thailand, a subsidiary of Global Fashion Group, the leading fashion and lifestyle destination in Asia Pacific, Latin America and CIS. Before ZALORA, Ali was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group specializing in strategic turnarounds, business due diligence, M&A and growth strategy.

Ali started his career in FMCG where he was Co-Founder and General Manager for 9 years at In-Season Foods Ltd, a frozen foods manufacturer specializing in the production of ready made meals and frozen desserts. Following the sale of In-Season Foods to a Thai conglomerate, Ali was General Manager for Jelly Belly Candy Company, an American confectionery manufacturer.

Ali is a Canadian with a joint honours degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh, UK. He is fluent in English and Thai.
