Angela Lai has a strong background in finance with experience in various roles and companies. Angela is currently the Head of APAC and Valuations, Research Insights at Preqin, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, Angela worked at Deutsche Bank as a Vice President from September 2014 to July 2022. Before that, they were a Credit Risk Analyst at OCBC Bank from August 2012 to September 2014. Angela also has experience as an Associate Equity Analyst at Macquarie Group from October 2010 to April 2012, and as a VP, Commercial Banking at HSBC from January 2005 to September 2009, where they managed relationships with mid-market companies.

Angela Lai, CFA, completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance from the University of Cambridge in 2010. Angela also pursued a Bachelor of Social Science in Journalism and Communications from The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2001 to 2004. In addition to their degrees, Angela has passed CFA Level 3 and is eligible for the CFA Charter, obtained in the year 2014 from the CFA Institute. Angela also studied Japanese at Waseda University in 2003-2004, although the degree obtained in this field is unspecified.
