Eshwar is the Deputy Managing Director at Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Ltd. (KAAML), where he leads investments across real estate, private credit, private equity, and infrastructure funds. A core member of KAAML’s leadership team, Eshwar brings over two decades of experience in financial services, having joined the Kotak Mahindra Group in 2000.

Previously, Eshwar served as the CEO of Kotak Special Situations Fund, overseeing investments in special situations, credit, and stressed asset opportunities. He also held the position of CEO at Phoenix Asset Reconstruction Company, a Kotak-sponsored ARC with an AUM of USD 1 billion, where he successfully invested across major sectors and led multiple resolutions during his five-year tenure.

Before his time at Kotak, Eshwar worked with Ceat Financial Services (RPG Group) and Sundaram Finance Ltd., gaining valuable experience in the financial services domain.

Eshwar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Pune and a Management degree from the Institute of Management Development and Research, Pune.
