Profile
Ms. Geetali Kumar is the East and Southeast Asia Lead for Venture Capital and Disruptive Technology Investments at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group. She leads IFC’s investments in early to growth stage technology businesses as well as VC Funds and represents IFC on the boards and LP advisory committees of these companies and funds.
Prior to joining IFC, Geetali spent 14 years as an investment professional with leading private equity and early-stage funds based in Southeast Asia including DEG, Leapfrog Investments, Bamboo Capital Partners and Actis Capital. She was primarily focused on early and growth stage investments in digital technology, financial services / fintech, consumer and healthcare sectors. She began her career in investment banking at Citigroup.
Geetali holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore (Dean’s List) and bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Mumbai (Honors).
