Melissa is the Founder and CEO of Enyorra Private Equity, a women-led private equity fund management company headquartered in Singapore, that focuses primarily on sustainability and impact investing in Southeast Asia. Enyorra’s core impact thesis emphasizes on supporting entrepreneurs who are driving technology disruption to enable climate change mitigation and adaptation, creating net positive environmental and/or social impact. Notably Enyorra is a member of 2X Global and a qualified 2X investor that supports women entrepreneurship.
Melissa has been an active private equity investor for 25 years and became a certified ESG practitioner and active impact investor for more than a decade covering multiple sectors including healthcare, renewable energy, fishery, and digital infrastructure in emerging markets. Previously, Melissa was a founding member and portfolio manager of Integro, a global impact fund at Morgan Stanley. Before that, Melissa was principal investment officer and regional lead at IFC, where she was responsible for new investment and oversaw US$1 billion of portfolio with 50 partnerships in 15 countries across East Asia Pacific. In addition, Melissa was the global lead for gender investment at IFC Global Funds team. Melissa had also held senior investment roles at ING and 3i.
Melissa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree (major in Economics and Political Science) from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Adelaide, Australia. Melissa was also a participant at Insead YMP 2000. Melissa is a frequent speaker and panellist of private market investment conferences focusing on SME in Southeast Asia, ESG, Sustainability and Climate Finance.
