Rob Nichols has over 25 years’ experience in Australian and New Zealand private equity, having led or co-led more than 20 transactions and over 120 bolt-on acquisitions across the healthcare, business services, and industrial sectors.
He began his investment career at Deutsche Bank’s DB Capital Partners, where he executed deals including Loscam, Healthcare Australia, Tempo/ISS, and Bledisloe, before co-founding Tasman Capital in 2008.
Tasman Capital invests in mid-market companies and select active real assets on behalf of sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors, and family offices.
Having recently reached first close, Tasman is currently deploying Tasman Fund IV, targeting control positions in defensive businesses valued between AUD$50–200 million.
His early professional experience includes roles at Bankers Trust in the UK and Deloitte, where he worked across Sydney, Boston, Warsaw, and London. Rob has also held senior executive roles and founded multiple portfolio companies including Serenitas and Tasman Holiday Parks.
