Tanvir Gill is the Anchor of CNBC’s ‘Street Signs Asia’. The programme follows the day’s biggest moves to provide viewers with actionable, real-time insights. From the anchor desk to the trading desk, the show helps viewers to capitalize on the plays of the day.

Since joining CNBC in February 2019, Gill has covered several important events for the network including the 2019 India elections, the 34th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok, Thailand and the 5th Eastern Economic Forum from Vladivostok, Russia and the WEF India Economic Summit where she moderated a panel on South Asia economic outlook as well as spoke to leading political and business figures.

Through her career, Tanvir has interviewed top global investors/ business leaders such as Warren Buffett, Howard Marks, Ray Dalio, Prime Minister Mahatir of Malaysia, David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs & UK’s Hinduja’s Brothers, Indian finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, amongst others.

In February 2020, Tanvir covered President Trump’s first state visit to India speaking exclusively to US energy secretary Dan Brouillette on America’s growing energy ties with the country.

Before joining CNBC, Gill was an anchor at ET Now, India’s leading business channel of The Economic Times. Prior to ET Now, Gill was an anchor on CNBC-TV18, CNBC’s India-based affiliate.
