Joel Blake OBE is a fintech strategist, governance advisor, and speaker specialising in lower middle market private credit and risk intelligence, operating at the intersection of institutional capital and next-generation data infrastructure.

With over 20 years of board-level experience, he has advised governments and financial institutions globally, designed bespoke finance frameworks, and supported the deployment of more than £600 million into scaling businesses across the UK and international markets.

Joel is Founder & CEO of GFA Exchange, a market-level risk infrastructure platform enabling private credit funds to benchmark, monitor, and trade borrower-level loan intelligence relative to the market in segments where data has historically been opaque.

He advises lenders and private credit managers on technology strategy, portfolio intelligence, and governance models in markets where information asymmetry is highest and traditional frameworks consistently misprice risk.

Joel is Board Advisor to Middle Eastern investment fund Taranis Capital and Chair of Sustainable Tech Future, an initiative advancing responsible innovation in financial markets.

He was awarded an OBE in 2016 for Services to Business Support and Enterprise.
