Marko Maschek combines engineering skills with entrepreneurial acumen. He grew up near Stuttgart and was an employee in the family-owned company during his school days.

After his military service he worked in consulting and software development patenting several developments in automotive applications.

Marko has been a VC- / PE- investor in Germany and the US since 1997 and co-founded two first-time funds, the latest being Marondo Capital. He has been responsible for more than 30 technology companies generating more than € 500m in value, including four successful IPOs.

Marko earned a degree in electrical engineering from KIT (Karlsruhe), an advanced degree in computer sciences from INSA (Lyon) and an MBA from Cambridge University. He is an officer of the cyber reserve of the German Armed Forces.
