Michiel Deturck is Managing Partner and co-founder of Vendis Capital, a leading European private equity firm focused on consumer brands and retail businesses. With a career that combines entrepreneurship, international experience, and investment expertise, he brings a distinctive perspective to value creation in the consumer sector.

Before entering private equity, Michiel spent several years teaching at a university in Rwanda and later established and managed an Asian office for a Belgian SME. Following an MBA at INSEAD and a period at McKinsey & Company, he co-founded Net Fund Europe, his first investment fund. A few years later, he co-founded Vendis Capital, helping build the firm into one of Europe's most established consumer-focused investment platforms.

Today, Michiel focuses on the strategic development of Vendis Capital, supporting investment teams, challenging opportunities and assumptions, and driving Vendis Transition, the firm's small-cap investment strategy with a strong sustainability focus. He is passionate about partnering with entrepreneurs and management teams to build resilient businesses that combine long-term growth with positive impact.
