Nils von Both
Healthcare Value Creation at Armira
Panellist

Profile

Nils von Both leads healthcare value creation at Armira’s Opportunities strategy. Armira is a Munich-based investment firm with offices in Munich and London focused on partnering with family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs across the DACH region and Europe. Over the past three years at Armira, he has served as a deal team member on two healthcare investments: PharOS, a European CDMO for small molecules headquartered in Greece, and a global medtech leader with revenues in excess of €1 billion - covering commercial due diligence, fundraising support, and acting as the post-merger integration counterpart.

Prior to Armira, Nils spent 13 years at Merck KGaA in a broad range of strategic and operational roles. He led post-merger integration projects following the Millipore acquisition in the U.S., drove business development in Life Sciences, and shaped portfolio expansion and commercial strategy for the pharmaceutical and general medicine business in emerging markets. He was in charge of investor relations for the pharmaceutical sector during two blockbuster product launches and ultimately headed Merck Group Strategy, where he was responsible for portfolio strategy, capital allocation including M&A strategy, and strategic group-wide projects. His assignments spanned Germany, France, the United States, and several emerging markets.

Nils holds a degree in Industrial Engineering - combining Chemical Engineering and Business Administration - from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and Seoul National University.
