Robert MannFounder/General Partner at Marshall Bridge VenturesPanellist
Profile
Robert Mann is the Founder of Marshall Bridge Ventures (MBV), where he brings a rare combination of global operational leadership and institutional investment experience to early‑stage investing.
Prior to founding MBV, Robert was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs, where he focused on M&A diligence, evaluating complex businesses across a range of sectors and geographies. Before entering finance, Robert spent 18 years at the CIA, leading teams and operations across Europe, South Asia, and North Africa. In this role, he worked at the intersection of strategy, risk, and execution—often in high‑stakes, ambiguous environments—developing a deep appreciation for how technology, geopolitics, and institutions shape outcomes.
Robert’s career has consistently centered on identifying asymmetric risk, building trusted teams, and operating effectively across borders. Today, through MBV, he works closely with founders building technologies critical to security, resilience, and long‑term economic strength.
He holds a BA in History from the University of Connecticut and is currently an Executive MBA candidate at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, where his studies focus on global markets, leadership, and strategy.
