Serena Koivurinta is an investor and operator at Captium Group, a family investment firm, where she works across early-stage investing, business operations and acquisitions. Her investment interests span industrial technology, aviation, security, defence, climate technology, hospitality, and real assets. Selected investments include SISU Defence, Defendec (acquired by VOSKER), KoBo Industries GmbH, DefSecIntel, S&N Oy, 29Acacia and Biostream.

Alongside her work at Captium, Serena is developing an investment thesis around European resilience and preparedness through Menerwā Ventures, a proposed early-stage investment vehicle focused on science & technology. Her interests include dual-use innovation addressing challenges across healthcare, biosecurity and critical infrastructure, and the role of public procurement in bringing strategically important technologies to market.

Previously, Serena led product at a London-based fintech firm, worked in consulting at Deloitte and marketing at BMW Group. She is a UK Venture Partner at Borski Fund and serves on the boards of MatZero, S&N Oy and Poijjaat Oy.
