Amelia (Amy) Armitage Amy Armitage is the founder and co-chair of the Human Capital Investment and Reporting Council (HCIRC), an executive peer group that sponsors research, peer conversations, and executive forums on human capital investment, value creation, and workforce sustainability. She is a Program Director at The Conference Board where she manages the Strategic Workforce Planning and Intelligence Council and executive programs on work tech and people analytics, skills-based operating systems, leadership and coaching, and the future workforce.A major interest is how organizations integrate the “S” of ESG measurement and investing into their reporting, storytelling, and workforce management. She is a recognized global expert on measuring the impact of human capital and publishes frequently on the topic of workforce sustainability.
An entrepreneur and educator, Amy has developed more than a dozen executive working groups for senior HR leaders in more than 300 organizations. Early in her career, she worked as an environmental journalist and researcher in Washington, D.C. and, as an executive HR consultant in New York. Amy holds an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management (finance, marketing) and a B.A. from Duke University, Institute of Public Policy Sciences (labor economics and public policy). She is active in non-profit leadership and sits on the YaleWomen (Alumnae) Governance Council and co-chairs its communities and chapters committee where she is developing a series on equity conversations. She lives in Connecticut with her husband, a pharmaceutical CEO, and is thankful for her supportive husband, three children, two dogs, and active Yoga practice.
