Carol has over 20 years’ experience of advising businesses, predominately in Financial Services, across a wide variety of tax matters, including Mergers & Acquisitions, post deal integration, International Tax (including OECD BEPS Pillar 2 and permanent establishment), tax compliance and governance and tax disputes. Through the broad range of projects Carol has been involved with and lead from a tax perspective she has an excellent understanding of business models and market and broader social-economic disruptors. Carol has been the KPMG UK ESG Tax Lead since early 2022. Through this she has advised businesses across industries on a range of ESG related tax matters, including the impact of environmental taxes, the role that tax can play in funding an organisations net zero transition, tax governance and tax transparency and reporting considerations. Recent transparency and reporting focus includes GRI 207, public Country by Country reporting and the tax aspects of EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (EU CSRD) and Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulations (SFDR).
