Corporate Tax senior Manager at SSE Plc

Donald is a Senior Manager at SSE Plc, a UK listed energy group. As part of this role, Donald is involved in managing the groups corporate tax compliance, tax strategy and tax advisory, all of which is encompassed by its ESG reporting.

SSE are Fair Tax Mark accredited, being the first FTSE100 company to do so. This year, SSE celebrated their 10^th year of Fair Tax Mark accreditation. In addition, SSE won PwC’s Building Public Trust Award for Tax Reporting in the FTSE 350 for 2022 and 2023 and have been nominated for 2024.

Donald is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser, joining SSE recently from Certas Energy UK Ltd, where he was Head of Tax. Prior to working in the energy sector, Donald had spent some time working in the engineering and spirits industries.
