Before joining KPMG’s ESG expertise hub in May 2023, Kristel spent 17 years working with Unilever’s brands and divisions on embedding sustainability as a driver of brand growth, innovation and consumer and retail engagement. Her experience includes purpose marketing, sustainability strategy, proactive issue management, social & environmental claims, net zero roadmaps, circular economy, and social impact programs. Kristel was part of part of setting up Unilever’s pioneering €1bn Climate & Nature Fund, aimed to finance long-term sustainability transformation in Unilever’s operations and supply chain.
