Mike Geary

Tax Principal: Environmental Taxes at ANGLO AMERICAN

Michael Geary joined the Anglo American tax team in 2013, taking on various roles including compliance, reporting, international tax planning, treasury taxation, and M&A. He has also worked as a tax business partner to Group’s Technical & Sustainability business. He is now Anglo American’s Global Tax Lead for Environmental Taxes, delivering a programme of work to shape their tax department’s response to the huge challenges of climate change, advocate for effective climate policy relating to taxes, and make a meaningful contribution to achieving the organisation’s environmental ambitions.
