Profile
Monique is a transfer pricing specialist with over 30 years’ practice experience. She uses her expertise to educate the next generation of lawyers, and has been teaching transfer pricing at leading universities for the vast majority of her career. She is a member of the Tax Practice Advisory Council of Vienna University’s Institute for Austrian and International Tax Law and assists the United Nations’ Financing for Development Office with writing training materials for tax authorities in developing countries. Monique advises the United Nations Tax Committee, whose work is governed by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) since 2010. She contributed materially to the UN TP Manual chapters on Methods, Intragroup Financial Transactions and Dispute Avoidance and Resolution. Next to leading an initiative on the taxation of Carbon Credits she is leading an initiative on simplifying taxation of employees Working From Anywhere (WFA). Furthermore, she has led Global Transfer Pricing and EMEA tax controversy teams for EY, worked for the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in their APA team and served as adviser to the US competent authority when with the IRS’ Associate Chief Counsel International. She is a practicing lawyer handling tax and transfer pricing audit settlements, APAs and MAP requests. She is regularly recognized as tax disputes lawyer or as Highly Regarded practitioner, most recently by ITR World Tax 2025.
