Charlie is a Managing Counsel in the EMEA Public Policy and Government Affairs Team at BNY Mellon, focusing on Sustainable Finance. She is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales having trained and qualified at Linklaters LLP into their Financial Regulation team. During her time at Linklaters she gained experience advising banking and asset manager clients on general regulatory perimeter issues as well as on more specific topics such as MiFID II and Brexit.

More recently she was seconded to BNY Mellon to advise on various regulatory change projects, including on ESG and Operational Resilience. She read History at Bristol University before converting to law.

She has previously worked as a professional opera singer and has a Masters in Music from the Royal Northern College of Music
