Profile
Rebecca is co-founder of Dutch-based Seawolf Sustainability Consulting. Since 2022, the organisation provides independent climate finance advice, training and research to non-profit organisations, policymakers, financial professionals and management teams across the world. Prior to this role Rebecca was the Director of Sustainable Finance at the environmental consultancy and project developer South Pole.
Rebecca has two decades of experience in the financial services industry. She had a variety of senior roles in London and Zurich. These included investor relations, risk management, finance/controlling and post-global financial crisis regulatory reforms. In her final industry role, Rebecca was appointed to be the first Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sustainable Finance at HSBC Holdings plc in 2017.
Rebecca holds a BSc in Economics and Politics, a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from University of Cambridge, and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Rebecca was a Board Member at the ICAEW (International Chartered Accountants of England and Wales) Financial Services faculty. For a number of years, Rebecca was the Trustee Board Deputy Chair and Risk & Audit Committee Chair at the University of Southampton Students Union.
