With all the talk of innovation for growth and corporate gain, it is refreshing to hear about innovation for the good of humanity. Don't get me wrong it's not good just for the sake of goodness, but finding ways to innovate that are beneficial for people, the planet, and profit!

In DSM's presentation, we began by talking about the driving forces requiring companies to think differently due to 1) Global Shifts 2) Climate and Energy Changes 3) Health and Wellness Needs (i.e. an aging population). Now more than ever, there is an opportunity to be more thoughtful about what we put into the world.

When it comes to things like biofuels, it means partnering to bring forth ideas. In the future, replacing fossil fuel with agricultural products can help address the growing energy needs worldwide. In a partnership with British Petroleum, DSM has been able to bring forth fuels derived from agricultural oils.

We're just scratching the surface of innovating for a changing world. Can't wait to see what's ahead!
