Sanket Agarwal

Sanket Agarwal is a member of the Indian Revenue Service and a tax administrator in the Government of India. He has extensive experience in domestic and cross border taxation, particularly transfer pricing. As part of the Indian Competent Authority team, he has led engagements with key treaty partners, including the US, UK and Japan. A core member of India’s dispute resolution and prevention team, he played a key role in India’s record 174 APA signings in FY 2024–25. He is currently posted as Deputy Commissioner in the Tax Policy Research Unit, where his work focuses on improving evidence-based tax policy formulation, enhancing tax certainty, and fostering investment-friendly tax governance.
