Ammar Ahmed is a Senior Scientist in the New Modalities Unit of Chemical Development at AstraZeneca. He completed his PhD in Chemistry at Imperial College London under the supervision of Prof. Edward Tate and continued his research in the same group as a Post-Doc Research Associate. During his time at Imperial College, he worked on various peptide-based projects. In 2023, he joined AstraZeneca, where he is responsible for the development of AZ peptide drug substances for late clinical stages and commercial use. Ammar is also an active member of the ACS Green Chemistry Institute Pharmaceutical Roundtable.
