Dr. Barbara Karolina Pfaff studied Biological Sciences at Goethe University Frankfurt and completed her PhD at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Frankfurt, focusing on Forensic Genetics and Forensic Entomology. After a postdoc at the Institute of Forensic Genetics at the University Hospital Heidelberg, she joined BioSpring GmbH in 2021. There, she established Next Generation Sequencing and directs its method development, with a specific focus on ensuring the quality control of synthetic oligonucleotides.
