Dr. Christian HeinleinGroup Leader Bioanalytics at Axolabs GmbH at Axolabs GmbHSpeaker
Profile
Christian is a biochemist by training and received his PhD in chemistry from the University of Bayreuth in 2011. During his PhD he worked on different methods for the synthesis of glycopeptides using the segment condensation reaction. He started his career as a postdoc at Roche Diagnostics GmbH. In this role he applied LC-MS/MS methods for the identification and characterization of diagnostic compounds. He then became a group leader for the instrumental analysis group and was responsible for the quality control and release of various compounds, including diagnostic oligonucleotides,
In 2016, Christian joined Axolabs as a scientist in the Bioanalytics department. In this role he was responsible for the planning and execution of bioanalytical projects such as method validations, non-clinical and clinical studies using the PNA-HPLC assay.
Currently, he heads the bioanalytical LC-MS group at Axolabs and is establishing a LC-MS/MS assay for the quantification of different oligonucleotides from variable biological matrices using different sample purification methods for use in a regulated environment.
