Erich Koller, Ph.D.Senior Principal Scientist at Roche Innovation Center BaselSpeaker
Profile
Erich Koller is a DMPK-PD project leader in the translational PKPD and clinical pharmacology chapter at F. Hoffmann-La Roche in Basel, Switzerland where he is focusing on pharmacokinetics of antisense oligonucleotides and large molecules. Before this, he worked at Ionis Pharmaceuticals in Carlsbad, California as an Assistant Director where he studied the mechanism of ASO uptake, performed preclinical studies of ASO and did mechanistic studies with siRNA. Previously, he worked at Ionis Pharmaceuticals as a Postdoctoral Fellow looking at ASOs modulating NF-kB and JNK signaling pathways. Prior to this he was a postdoctoral Fellow at the Sanford Burnham Prebys in La Jolla, California where he studied cadherin cell adhesion molecules using molecular and cellular biology techniques. He has a PhD in Biochemistry from the Federal Institute of technology (ETH Zürich) Switzerland and obtained his BS in biochemistry from the ETH in Zürich. Erich has years of experience in the field of antisense oligonucleotides and large molecules.
