Dr. Janik Kaufmann studied chemistry in Germany and graduated from the University of Frankfurt, where he worked on the light-activation of oligonucleotides for in vivo use. He then transitioned to industry, pursuing roles in the process development and technology transfer of oligonucleotide manufacturing. He is an author of several publications on photoactivatable oligonucleotides and a contributor to a book chapter about CMC and regulatory aspects of oligonucleotide manufacturing.
