Matt Maciejewski, Ph.D.Vice President and Head of Data Science at Korro BioSpeaker
Profile
Mateusz Maciejewski is the Vice President and Head of Data Science at Korro Bio. He obtained his PhD in computational biophysics from the NIH and University of Edinburgh. After completing his doctoral degree, Mateusz went on to do a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cambridge, followed by a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship at Novartis NIBR, where he developed and implemented new applied ML methods for cheminformatics. He then joined Pfizer's I&I department and worked there for 8 years.
Throughout his career, Mateusz has used machine learning and probabilistic modeling to improve our understanding of disease mechanisms, aid decision making, and patient stratification. In his current role at Korro, Mateusz and his team are focused on development and application of novel deep learning models for designing chemically modified oligos that lead to selective and efficacious RNA editing.
