Dr. Mikko Turunen is a seasoned expert in gene therapy with over 27 years of experience. Throughout his career, his research focus has been non-coding RNAs, cardiovascular disease, and gene delivery to animals. In 2009, he made a pioneering discovery by being the first to demonstrate transcriptional gene activation by small RNAs in vivo. Dr. Turunen is also the founder of RNatives, where his groundbreaking work on RNA activation is now advancing the field of RNA-based medicine
