Peter ‘t Hart obtained his bachelor’s in Chemistry at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and his master’s in Pharmacy at Utrecht University. He stayed in Utrecht for a PhD in Chemical Biology and Medicinal Chemistry with prof. Nathaniel Martin. Subsequently, he joined Professor Herbert Waldmann's group at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology in Germany, where he later became a group leader at the Chemical Genomics Centre. Recently, he has joined the University of Münster as professor of Molecular Biochemistry. His focus lies on the use of stabilized and cell-permeable peptides to inhibit or stabilize protein-RNA interactions to regulate mRNA processing.
