Thomas is currently working as senior scientist in the research group of Prof. Morbidelli at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, where he also obtained his PhD degree in 2008 in the area of continuous chromatography for therapeutic proteins and peptides. In addition, he holds a position as COO at ChromaCon AG, Switzerland, a spin-off company from the research group. He obtained his master’s degree at the Technical University of Hamburg, Germany, for a diploma thesis in the area of fermentation technology. During a 1-year stay at the University of California and an industry internship at Bayer Healthcare in Berkeley (USA) he deepened his knowledge in biotechnology and good manufacturing practice (GMP).
