Trine Puggaard Petersen, PhDSpecialist, CMC API Chemical Development at Novo NordiskSpeaker
Profile
Trine Puggaard Petersen obtained an industrial PhD degree in chemistry from University of Southern Denmark in collaboration with H. Lundbeck in 2013. She joined the group of Prof. Paul Knochel at the Ludwig-Maximiliam University for a postdoc position founded by the Villum foundation followed by a two year postdoc position at Novo Nordisk. Both postdoc positions focused on the use of continuous flow chemistry applications for different chemical transformations ranging from organometallic reactions to peptide modifications. Trine then passed on to a position as pilot scientist within Novo Nordisk being responsible for GMP-manufacturing of APIs for clinical trials. Since 2020 she has been working as a Specialist, CMC API Chemical Development within chemical process development focusing on scaling up both SPPS and other peptide related processes from gram to kg scale, improving capacity of existing chemical processes and implementing new technologies for greener and more efficient processes.
