Profile
Vusala Ibrahimova earned her doctorate in Organic and Polymer Chemistry through joint studies at Université catholique de Louvain and Université de Bordeaux. She subsequently completed over three years of postdoctoral research in Nanomedicine at the University of Bordeaux, France. Her diverse expertise encompasses the design of amphiphilic materials for photosensitizer APIs for PDT, the development of lipopeptide conjugates, lipopetosomes formation, smart delivery platforms, T-responsive recombinant peptides for artificial cell studies as well as the synthesis of fluorescent polymers for applications in optoelectronics and cellular imaging. In 2021, Dr. Ibrahimova has pursued her career as a formulation scientist at Cristal Therapeutics in Maastricht, Netherlands. Since 2022, she joined CureVac as a Research Scientist in the Formulation team within the Technology Department, where she applies her expertise in lipid design and LNP formulation development.
