Doug Jensen is Vice President, Consumer Relationship Management (CRM) and Corporate Marketing Analytics for The Estée Lauder Companies since September 2013. As the leader of analytics in the Corporate Marketing function, Doug’s responsibility is to develop and drive the marketing data and analytics strategy for the company. Doug’s responsibilities include marketing mix modeling and other productivity tools to help guide the company to measure and track its advertising and spend performance; global market share reporting; social media measurement in the paid / owned / earned space; driving the company CRM and consumer data strategy, and innovation insights to insert consumer research into the innovation / R&D process for the company. Doug has 30 years’ experience in the marketing analytics field.

Prior to joining The Estée Lauder Companies, Doug was Vice President, Global Analytics for Avon Products, Inc. During his seven years at Avon, Doug built the analytics and reporting capability that allowed the company visibility into A&P ROI productivity for its core five beauty categories. Prior to Avon, Doug led the analytics function of a niche magazine publisher (Primedia, now part of Source Interlink). Doug began his career in marketing analytics on the vendor side delivering business value with statistical models for top CPG clients for both Nielsen and Information Resources, Inc. (IRi).

Originally from Iowa, Doug holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Journalism/Mass Communication from Iowa State University. Doug has lived in Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles before making his home in New York City with his partner, Brent, since 2001. Outside of work, Doug enjoys traveling, exercising/weight training and collecting and learning about wine.
