The Groundheat team is proud to be founded by Gino di Rezze, who has not only led Groundheat to great success, but contributed greatly to the geothermal industry as a whole. Gino started off with a company called Villaneuve Heating in 1979, completing geothermal as well as HVAC work. In 1985, he started Groundheat and completed geothermal projects for homes and businesses all over Canada and the world. Gino is a Certified Geoexchange Designer, and has many credibilities including his membership of the Association of Energy Engineers-Certified Designers and his Scotiabank Environmental Leadership Award. Gino inspires his employees everyday with his contributions to geothermal energy. He has a number of published research papers on Bloomberg conducted by himself and the federal government. He received drilling bursaries for research at the University of Ottawa as well as a college in Lindsay. He also published papers with University of Rome and held presentations at Oklahoma State.
