Teresa Neto is the Chief Financial Officer of Granite REIT (TSX: GRT.UN, NYSE: GRP.U), appointed in July 2019, and is responsible for the REIT’s financial planning, accounting & reporting, tax, treasury and corporate finance activities as well as information technology and human resources. Ms. Neto has over 35 years of varied business experience including the consumer packaged goods and telecommunications sectors, and the last 17 years in real estate. Ms. Neto has held previous CFO positions at five publicly-traded real estate investment trusts in Canada, most recently with Pure Industrial Real Estate Trust (acquired by Blackstone/Ivanhoe Cambridge in May 2018). As a CFO, Ms. Neto has overseen three M&A transactions, raised billions of dollars of capital in debt and equity markets, and has extensive experience servicing public boards. Ms. Neto holds a Chartered Professional Accountant, C.A. designation and has a B.A. from Laurentian University. Ms. Neto is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and holds the ICD.D designation. Ms. Neto also serves as a Trustee of BSR REIT (TSX: HOM.U), appointed on January 1, 2022.
