Fred C. Johnson, CPA, established his independent consulting firm, JohnsonTP, in 2017, following partnership at KPMG and EY and a twenty-year career with the IRS. Fred began his professional tax career with the IRS in 1987. At the IRS, Fred conducted numerous face-to-face negotiations of APA and double tax disputes with Japan’s NTA, Canada’s CRA and other tax treaty partners. As a partner at KPMG and EY, Fred served as the West region leader of their dispute resolution and APA practices representing over 60 different MNEs before the IRS in negotiations of APAs and U.S. Competent Authority matters. At JohnsonTP, Fred currently advises over 15 clients regarding their APAs, MAPS and other transfer pricing matters.
