Scott has 15 years of experience in public accounting advising corporations on cross-border tax planning with a focus on developing tax efficient structures for his clients that align with their global business objectives. Scott advises large multinational corporations on inbound and outbound tax structuring in the areas of income characterization and sourcing, controlled foreign corporation rules, repatriation planning, transfer pricing, income tax treaties, local country income and withholding tax matters, foreign tax credit planning, and cross-border dispositions, mergers and acquisitions. Since the development of the Inclusive Framework on BEPS Pillar Two, Scott has specialized in advising clients on compliance, provision, and structuring related to the Pillar Two global minimum tax, including the development of technology solutions to assist with Pillar Two calculations, processes, and planning needs. Central to addressing the international tax reform needs of his clients, Scott has helped develop customized strategies to collect unique data sets from clients’ accounting systems and business units to analyze international tax reform implications, comply with new reporting obligations, and use tax technology to model comprehensive international tax provisions for return, provision, and planning opportunities.
