Tim has over 15 years of experience in international tax specialising in transfer pricing, with over 3.5 years of experience in the ATO’s transfer pricing unit.

As a result, Tim has extensive transfer pricing experience ‘on both sides of the desk’ and in this regard, has dealt with, and on behalf of the ATO in relation to APAs, transfer pricing risk reviews and transfer pricing audits.

Tim has assisted clients with matters such as business restructuring, IP and royalty valuations, the integration of technology and ESG-related issues, and appropriate transfer pricing for intra-group product purchases and service charges.

Tim enjoys advising clients with respect to the enhancement of their operational transfer pricing, including improvements in governance process, and the use of small and large scale automation where appropriate. With the introduction of KPMG’s KymTax, this has presented further opportunities to integrate and provide services to clients utilising the power of Artificial Intelligence to increase accuracy and efficiency.


Barry Sullivan is a Partner in KPMG’s Tax Transformation & Technology practice. Barry has over 20 years of multi-jurisdictional experience in tax, data analytics, and automation and has supported clients implement tax data strategies and platforms to automate tax processes and drive insights from data to support better tax strategic decision making. He has worked with clients across all tax types leveraging his expertise to identify and deploy the right solutions for process improvement and transformational change. He is continuously exploring the boundaries of what is possible in tax transformation, currently exploring with clients how Artificial Intelligence, particularly generative AI, can further add value to tax departments.
