Global Head of Transfer Pricing & Tax Technology at SHELL

Christian Runge has a master in Tax Law (LLM) from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He worked for 7 years as an International Tax Manager at PwC and Deloitte. In 2005, he joined Shell, and in those years he occupied various roles, including: Tax Lead for the Netherlands; Tax Director Upstream Joint Ventures and Integrated Gas; and currently Global Head of Transfer Pricing and Tax Technology. The Shell Transfer Pricing teams consist of 10 advisers located in London, The Hague, Houston and Singapore. Shell also has a TP documentation team in Krakow (about 25 people). The teams looks at all TP matters in Shell globally (structuring and advising) and is responsible for TP audits (including MAP’s, (B)APA’s and TP settlements/disputes). Currently the Shell TP team have a heavy focus on advocacy in the TP domain (Pillar 1 and 2) and working on Operational Transfer pricing (OTP) including Technology solutions.
