Maqbool works with tax and financial administrations globally to promote Moody’s data and products to assist with tax risk, international and transfer pricing issues, in their local territories and across jurisdictional boundaries. He is a qualified international tax professional with 47 years’ tax experience. A former Her Majesty’s Inspector of Taxes at the UK Tax Administration. He pioneered techniques in the of use of “big data” for tax investigations and unearthing aggressive tax avoidance and evasion schemes. He has led on numerous tax risk projects at HMRC, collaborating with major IT partners. A board member of Large Business Strategic Risk Unit; setup and headed the Large Business High Risk Profiling Unit (HMRC). He is a regular speaker at International Tax & Transfer Pricing and World Customs conferences
