Mark leads EY’s Sustainability Tax team in the UK. He has over 20 years’ experience in international tax having worked in senior tax positions at large UK companies including BP, Pearson and Smiths Group, where he was Global Head of Tax. Mark is a Chartered Tax adviser and a qualified solicitor. He holds an MBA from École des Ponts Business School, has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Oxford University and a qualification in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge University. Mark passionately believes in tax as a force for good, underpinning societal resilience and catalysing human progress. In his role at EY, he helps businesses meet their sustainability commitments: fostering transparency and trust; accelerating green innovation; and driving long-term value through sustainable transformation.
