Palesa Sansole

Profile

Palesa Sansole has over 20 years of experience, providing expertise in transfer pricing and international tax. She has most recently worked on a Pillar 2 project, providing legal advice on the interpretation of the OECD Administrative Guidance and GloBE rules. Her transfer pricing experience is from working in financial services, medical devices, and the software industry, with a keen interest in artificial intelligence (AI). Her in-house experience at Barclays Bank, GE Capital & Global Foundries (semi-conductor MNE), combined with her tenure at Deloitte & KPMG, allows her to adopt a practical approach, optimizing tax strategies to align with corporate goals. Additionally, Palesa has reviewed transfer pricing software provided by niche boutique providers and the Big 4. She has conducted cost-benefit analyses for procuring transfer pricing software and understands how to support a business case for automation to senior internal stakeholders. Palesa has trained in-house teams on new tax topics and has been accredited with an ability to explain complex tax concepts in a simple way to a multi-functional audience. She has experience in tax controversy, working with African and European tax authorities to resolve tax issues, including participation in MAP discussions. Her global experience is further enriched by having lived and worked in Africa, the UK, and the US, giving her a unique perspective on international tax matters. She is currently working independently and collaborates with WTP Advisors. Palesa’s qualifications include an LLB (Hons) Politics & Law from Buckingham University in the UK, LLM in International Law from the University of Keele in the UK, and LLM in Taxation from Cape Town University.
