Sam leads Grant Thornton UK’s tax risk management function. Sam has significant HM Revenue & Customs experience, and leads a team with private practice and in-house experience to support clients in managing their tax management responsibilities more proactively. Before joining Grant Thornton in 2022, Sam worked at HMRC for nearly 13 years, primarily in its Specialist Investigation and Fraud Investigation units. Sam was HMRC's lead for the Corporate Criminal Offence and has a good overview of the international landscape, having led on multiple initiatives with tax administrations around the world.
